OS X Software: shadowGoogle

stupidFish (boy, what a name) has released a simple, light Google search utility named shadowGoogle which allows users to search Google through a small, unobtrusive field that floats on your desktop. You can set the preferences to always float above all your apps, turn drop shadow on and off, automatically launch at log-in, and other features. Not as good as a menu-bar utility (which I'm still hoping for), but very close.

Comments

I have been using shadowGoogle for a while now, and I find it really useful. It is always there when you need it, and it makes web searching really easy and FAST! If you haven't tried it yet, give it a try.

I think Searchling has what you're looking for. It's a menu widget with a keyboard shortcut that gives you quick access to Google.
